It’s not only the middle of Disaster Month on Or Is It? but the temperature is dropping dangerously low! 2004’s The Day After Tomorrow is another Roland Emmerich’s getting the Or Is It? treatment and boy howdy does it deserve it. This film shows the end result when you throw Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, a frozen tundra where New York should be, waterproof public phones, and CGI wolves in a blender and pour it out liberally onto a movie screen. Will America be lost in a new Ice Age? How will we ever survive without one copy of the Bible? Can you out-run cold? And where is Scrat? All of these questions and more will not be answered but we just let it go. We never liked the cold much anyway.
