Ah video game movies. They’re always . . . usually not good. On the other hand, early 2000s movies are always . . . well, usually not good. So when you combine them, oh boy, you’re entering a whole new level of usually not good. Resident Evil was a successful line of video games based in the survival horror genre. It’s got tons of fans. So when it came time to create a movie based on Resident Evil, they got big name actors like Milla Jovovich (because she was Leeloo in Fifth Element) and Michelle Rodriguez (because she hadn’t found her family yet).
