The best parts of the Fast & Furious universe are teaming up in a brand new spin off movie. Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw are tasked to save Shaw’s sister after she injects herself with a super-virus owned by Brixton. Sounds easy but Brixton is a cyber-enhanced super villain hell bent on eliminating the weaker of the world’s population to make the human race as strong as it can be. Film Studies 8-15: Men in Black International

Another sequel/reboot coming out in 2019. This time, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson take over for Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and there’s a mole inside of Men in Black. There is also the most dangerous weapon in the universe floating around on Earth. Agents H and M must find the weapon, defeat the mysterious new aliens coming after it, and flush out the mole before the world is destroyed.

Film Studies 8-14: Dark Phoenix

The final X-Men movie (for now) has been out for a couple of weeks now and we’re still playing catch-up. We checked out the somewhat maligned Dark Phoenix. It’s the re-telling of the famous Dark Phoenix comic book storyline with the new X-Men cast. Jean Gray has been hit by a space force that makes her powers stronger and uncontrollable and aliens are after her to steal her powers away. Yep, aliens.

Film Studies 8-13: Godzilla – King of the Monsters

Five years ago, Godzilla re-introduced himself to the world defeating two Mutos and saving the Earth. Now, more than 17 other Titan monsters have been discovered and thanks to the bumbling humans, King Gidorrah has been released and taken over the Titans causing destruction worldwide. We need to save Godzilla and help him fight off the Titans so that the human race doesn’t go extinct!
